Self-parking chairs make this office tidy with just a clap

If you're annoyed by slovenly colleagues, their desks full of paper and abandoned cups of tea, and their chairs left askew, Nissan have a solution: self-parking chairs.

As originally reported by Engadget, these chairs automatically move back under their desks on hearing the sound of a clap, leaving offices looking tidier and -- presumably -- making the more fastidious members of your workforce slightly happier.

The chairs, manufactured by Okamura, are tracked by four WiFi-enabled, motion-tracking cameras on the wall. Motors on the wheels drive the chairs, guided by the WiFi, back under their desks.

Don't get too excited, though -- the chairs are, obviously, part of a publicity stunt to promote Nissan's new intelligent parking assist technology. For the time being you'll have to make do with nagging your messy colleagues.
