Artificial intelligence is becoming commonplace in almost all walks of life, from streamlining busy work schedules to ensuring traffic flows smoothly through towns and cities.
Hisense, a company that, according to the leading market research institute Omdia, ranked number one globally for TV shipments in the category of 100-inch and above from 2023 to 2024 Q3, believes it also has huge potential to revolutionize the way its customers enjoy the at-home viewing experience, as well as understanding AI’s place in future-proofing home appliances.
At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the company’s vast booth sported some 17 immersive scenarios and 59 technical highlights, with everything from ULED TVs, Laser TVs, and smart home appliances, sitting alongside advanced applications in automotive, commercial displays, healthcare, and energy systems.
The one common thread that ran through all of these products was the scenario-based application of AI technology, with the company showcasing how it is a leader in AI picture quality, but also proving how it can be used to maximize convenience in domestic appliances, integrated across six booth sections: AI for Picture Quality, AI for Audio Quality, AI Home, AI OS, AI Scenario, and AI City.
Working under the theme “AI Your Life,” Hisense was busy proving just how powerful a tool artificial intelligence can be.
“In 2024, AI became an undeniable force in technology, appearing in nearly every product and conversation. At Hisense, we focus on what matters: creating practical, seamless solutions that improve daily life,” explained David Gold, president of Hisense Americas and Hisense USA, as he unveiled a series of premium AI-infused televisions and display products at the Hisense press conference on January 6.
One of the highlights was the largest in the market 116-inch TriChroma LED TV, which carries RGB Local Dimming Display Technology that takes intelligent brightness and color to the next level.
The 116-inch TriChroma LED TV features high-speed differential backlight transmission and neighborhood interpolation dimming algorithms. Paired with advanced coatings and materials, it attains an industry-leading ambient light contrast and reduced reflectivity.
With a 6.2.2 channel setup and an external 3.1 channel speaker system, the upgraded 360-degree surround sound system delivers an immersive, cinema-like experience.
In this instance, AI is used to intelligently adjust and fine-tune imaging depending on the scenario, with AI Sports Mode optimizing both picture and sound for fast-paced action. The pitch looks brighter, the action smoother, and AI Clear Voice adjusts in real time to balance the voices of the commentators with the roar of the crowd.
In addition to this, Hisense revealed how its intelligent Film Mode, AI 4K Upscaler, and AI Noise Reduction can make classic films look sharper and more impressive.
“When AI is done right, you don’t notice the technology—you just experience a better way of living. This philosophy is powered by Hisense’s proprietary software and optimized processing, ensuring AI integrates naturally into everything we create,” added Gold. “Hisense AI is designed to simplify life without interrupting it—delivering smarter solutions that work.”
Cementing its reputation as a market leader in display technology, Hisense also took the wraps off its 136-inch MicroLED, with peak brightness reaching up to a stunning 10,000 nits, despite each LED measuring around the size of a grain of sand.
Unlike traditional displays that sometimes lose clarity in low-light scenes, MicroLED ensures cinematic precision even in the darkest moments.
Gaming has been a big focus for Hisense and its Ultra-Low Latency Gaming Laser TV showcases the latest in technological breakthroughs by offering a minimal 1.5 ms input lag.
Upgraded from the “Designed for Xbox” PX3 series Laser Cinema, results have shown that the nominal 60 Hz refresh rate in the new product delivers a better instantaneous display effect than the 144 Hz refresh rate of an LCD panel TV. It takes gaming to the next level. This technology will be coming to more gaming-focussed products throughout 2025, with the other “Designed for Xbox”-certified C2 Ultra 4K Laser Mini Projector also bolstering Hisense’s impressive array of gaming-specific display solutions.
Simplicity and user-friendliness is key, as it features seamless auto keystone correction, seamless auto focus, auto obstacle avoidance, and auto screen alignment, while the TriChroma (Pure Triple Color Laser) brings super wide color gamut with no harmful rays of blue light.
It also brings with it a built-in subwoofer, 2.1 channel JBL audio, and DTS Virtual:X 3D surround sound to bring gaming sessions to life.
Another cutting-edge model shown at CES, the Ultra-Bright Laser TV offers a cinema-quality experience at home regardless of ambient light, with its 4000 lm console and an ultra-bright spectrum screen, achieving 1500 nits full-screen brightness. Its 0.18 ultra-short throw lens enables a 100-inch screen in a compact space, making it ideal for various home setups.
Hisense AI has also been introduced to the company’s television models, with a specific Game Picture Mode, optimizing settings for smooth, responsive gameplay. Similarly, AI Color Booster enhances vibrant hues, while AI Depth enhances the sense of scale, drawing players into the action and ensuring every scene feels immersive.
Not dismissing the importance of sound, Hisense offers a premium Room Fitting Tuning feature in select televisions, which tailors the audio to the space, analyzing the room’s layout and acoustics to deliver precise sound.
Hisense's smart home platform, ConnectLife, was first introduced in 2020 but has since grown to include a comprehensive range of electronics and appliances, supporting 47 languages in 196 countries and regions. ConnectLife seamlessly integrates AI into daily life and features a Dish Designer for personalized recipe generation, AI Food Recognition for smart ingredient tracking, an AI Meal Planner for customized weekly meal plans, AI Master Cooking for visually assisted cooking, and AI Eco for energy-efficient device optimization.
The AI-powered smart appliances include an updated BCD-780WY Refrigerator, which was proudly displayed at CES 2025 and features a constantly connected 21-inch TFT screen.
Arguably the smartest fridge in the room, it features intelligent storage, complete with expiration reminders and recipe recommendations based on the contents. Shopping lists can be created via the touchscreen, with automatic updates sent to a tethered smartphone.
Users can harness the power of an intelligent voice assistant and even sync up with health-tracking devices so the refrigerator can intelligently recommend recipes based on data. This model will be on sale across North America in 2025.
Hisense is pushing the role of artificial intelligence in everyday technology to new levels. The Uni Series Air Conditioner, which uses AI Smart technology to intelligently direct airflow and control temperature and humidity, gives users a smart and more comfortable experience, while the Washer-Dryer 7S adjusts washing parameters by sensing fabric material, water level, and temperature for the perfect energy-saving wash.
Anchored by scenario-based applications, Hisense’s booth at CES illustrates how AI transforms homes and cities, maximizing convenience, sustainability, and user satisfaction. Visitors can engage with cutting-edge solutions that redefine connectivity and underscore Hisense's commitment to user-centric technology and ultimate quality.
