*I just watched the video where she announces her forthcoming surgery. That's quite a video. It doesn't have any of her usual gadgets in it, but as heartfelt works of confessional video go, that was intense.
*I don't want to offer the usual get-well-soon platitudes to Simone, because such remarks seem out of line – they undercut her unusual rapport with her audience. I won't link to the video from my blog here, either – that seems too facile.
