Myths are inherently un-bustable

*Even when it's scientists themselves who believe the myths.

*This strange article really reads like a counsel of despair. It's got me wondering about the mental health of contemporary scientists. Are scientists really so meek that they can't admit that a lot of slow-growth cancers don't do anything medically harmful? Also, who anywhere near actual science would ever quote the American Enterprise Institute in support of anything, ever?

"Psychological studies suggest that the very act of attempting to dispel a myth leads to stronger attachment to it." I guess that's why we still worship Osiris. He was unkillable, too.
