“What we did with Battlestar Galactica involved raw, immediate, visceral, war drama — combat stories — along with philosophical, contemplative ruminations on what it means to be human,” says producer David Eick, who worked on all three series, in the exclusive behind-the-scenes video above. “Caprica focused almost exclusively on the latter; I think Blood & Chrome is going to focus much more on the former.”
In the five-minute “making of” video above, Eick and others involved in Blood & Chrome talk about making the series, which is composed of episodic chapters ranging from 7 to 12 minutes long, all focusing on a young William Adama’s introduction to space war aboard the Galactica.
You can watch the first four episodes of Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome below. The web series will be presented in 10 episodes on Machinima Prime, with a 2-hour movie version slated to air later on Syfy.
