This week the subject is the secret worlds beneath almost every city — hidden tunnels, abandoned subways, disused sewers and other abandoned infrastructure. Most of us city dwellers never come into contact with it, or just get struck by a glancing blow. But if the romance of a hidden world appeals to you, take heart in the fact that no matter where you go, there’s usually one just a few dozen feet down.
