  • Sarah is looking forward to a Buffy Season 7 marathon while attempting to finish a wedding present on time. She will also be attending the penultimate Quackers swim class with Toby and wondering why the farmer now has a pool with an alligator.
  • This week, Rebecca Angel is shuttling her kids around. They are mentors at a robotics summer camp, where they also wrote the story, programming, and robot designs. This will be a future post here. We are also catching up with friends and family that we haven't seen since our travels in the past weeks. Plus there are weekend parties to attend, pools to swim in, and The Two Towers to continue to read out loud with a group of friends. Ah, summer.
  • Kris Bordessa is making plans to attend the Seattle BrickCon with her TFOL and trying not to freak out about the cost of renting a car in Seattle and dropping it off in San Francisco. Her TFOL has more important things to fret over, though: how to transport his build across the Pacific Ocean in one piece.
  • Melissa is recovering from SDCC craziness by kicking back and cutting out armies of paper dolls for her five-year-old.
  • Patricia is in the middle of another multi-day trip up to the northeast to get her sons back. Since she just made the trip 4 weeks ago, she's trying her best to vary the route just for something new to see. Then it'll be time to go shopping for school supplies, whoo hoo!
  • Nicole Wakelin is recovering from the insanity that was San Diego Comic-Con and getting ready to do it all again in Indianapolis next week at GenCon. Who's up for a little jet-lagged gaming?
  • Chaos Mandy is going to have a weekend that is both happy and sad. Her husband's birthday is on Sunday, but that day is also her mother's birthday. Mandy's mother passed away almost 9 years ago, so it's a hard time of year due to the fact that her death day is a little over a week later. Mandy will be trying to stay positive and will be celebrating her husband's birthday to the fullest despite the fact that he doesn't like birthdays.
  • Kristen Rutherford is busy playing with some of the toys she got at SDCC - like this Bobblehead TARDIS.
  • Much to the delight of her aching wrists, Andrea put down George R. R. Martin's thousand-page hard-cover edition of A Dance with Dragons long enough to go out with the boys to see Captain America (which, in an effort to promote team-building during these dark economic times, she heartily recommends to every member of Congress). She also received tickets to Wilco's Central Park show in September for her birthday...so things are good.
  • Cathe is excited to be testing Flash Point: Fire Rescue, from Indie Boards and Cards, for a review. Testing Flash Point is the kickoff to a weekend full of gaming.
  • Laura's perpetually under-repair house will be sporting several colors of siding for the next few months. She's open to suggestions for making this look remotely arty. She's also ranting about Islamophobia and doing garden art.
  • Cindy's week started off wonderfully with the birth of her first niece, Olivia Jocelyn, on Sunday. She's getting a kick out of giving her sister mommy-advice,including her all time favorite piece of advice, "if all else fails, ask mommy!"
  • Brigid is celebrating her birthday, and getting ready for an EPIC move from Maryland to Texas.
