The new trailer for Marvel’s upcoming superhero flick Thor gets laughs from the fish-out-of-water predicament of an ancient Nordic god (portrayed by Chris Hemsworth) who crash-lands in modern times. Once Thor hooks up with Natalie Portman’s scientist character, she introduces him to the peculiar earthling culture.
And then the 3-D monsters kick in.
Directed by Kenneth Branagh, Thor opens May 6.
