A scruffy superhero with a taste for drugs explodes “like a Wonder Bread bomb” in the video for “Chicken Bones,” a weird song by former The Czars frontman John Grant. The clip, directed by Casey Raymond and Ewan Jones Morris, is a great match for the song, which boasts lyrics that sound like a bizarro mix of Frank Zappa and a demented Gordon Lightfoot (think “Sundown“).
“Chicken Bones” is from Grant’s debut album, Queen of Denmark. The former frontman of The Czars is currently touring the United Kingdom.
