IndieCade is accepting submissions for this year's festival, the group said Monday.
The event, which will take place from October 8-10 in Los Angeles, is a celebration of experimental and innovative home-grown games. IndieCade welcomes submissions from creators of all sorts of interactive media. The festival will take place in a variety of locations in downtown Culver City, and hosts gallery shows, talks and an award ceremony voted on by a jury of esteemed gamemakers and artists.
The deadline for IndieCade submissions is June 1 at midnight Pacific.
If you need to be convinced why IndieCade matters, look no further than Brandon Boyer's three-part argument for last year's festival, which included presentations from Will Wright, Dan Benmergui, Henry Jenkins, Keita Takahashi and Jenova Chen.
The long and short of it: IndieCade is a cheaper, more accessible Game Developers Conference that eschews tech lectures for a focus on art, creativity and experimentation.
