Congrats to this weeks winner, Joshua Smith who deftly assisted Super-Spy Pedro Vex needs in decoding his DVR instructions so he could record NOVA while on a secret mission! Joshua has earned himself a $50 gift code from Thinkgeek!

A hand written letter can be a wonderful thing, but as Super-Spy Extraordinaire Pedro Vex opened his mail one fine Tuesday afternoon, he knew that the letter he was opening was not one of wonder. The letter was addressed to Pedro and contained one sheet of hand printed letters and numbers, in no particular order. Pedro looked at the return address. It was from his cable company. Upon further inspection, Pedro realized they must be the codes to program his DVR. Even a Super-Spy sometimes has trouble with basic home technology. This is what Pedro saw in the letter, written in exquisite calligraphy:

23 V D 6 7 24 T T 3 Y W 19 10 G 12 D 7: 24 17 T Z X 2 10 Q M T Y 22 7 G 25 V 7 V W

The only clues Pedro has is some smudged writing on the back of the letter, “P=T, W=23, S=7, S=G, E=22, A=10.”

So, 23 V D 6 7 24 T T 3 Y W 19 10 G 12 D 7: 24 17 T Z X 2 10 Q M T Y 22 7 G 25 V 7 V W
