Video: Gameplay and Character Customization in Fallen Earth

Fallen Earth may have slipped below many people’s radar, but the post-apocalyptic massively multiplayer online roleplaying game looks to be coming along nicely, if the newly-released footage from the title’s beta is any indication.

Scheduled for a PC release "when it’s done," the game tells the story of "a post-apocalyptic Earth in the year 2154."

"Within the Grand Canyon Province, an isolated pocket of settlements around one of the world’s most amazing landmarks, you’ll face threats to mankind’s continued survival, from irradiated zones to mutated beasts to raiders," says the game’s official website.

The first clip, seen above, is a minute-and-a-half long trailer introducing gamers to the world and offering a glimpse at Fallen Earth’s gameplay, while the second clip demonstrates the game’s character creation utility. It’s pretty standard stuff for an MMO, but it does seem to offer players a wide variety of customization options.

No price has yet been revealed for Fallen Earth, but the game’s site says "it will be competitive with other major MMOs." Expect something along the lines of $50 for a boxed copy of the game, along with a $15 per month subscription fee at launch.
