This will teach NASA to name their multi-million dollar projects via on-line contests.

Variety reports today that the new room on the International Space Station will be named "Colbert" after an online vote.

Fans of Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert stuffed the virtual ballot box with 230,539 write-in votes, overriding the four official choices NASA offered. But, before Colbert fans share a celebratory chuckle, they should realize NASA reserves the right to name the new ISS section whatever they deem most appropriate.
