"Greetings, true believers! Dog carcass in alley this morning. Did The Hulk step on its stomach?"
That's how Watchmen might've started if Alan Moore had been working for Marvel Comics -- and if Marvel honcho Stan Lee had kicked Moore out of the writer's chair and punched up Watchmen's famously gritty language with House of Ideas-style self-referential hyperbole.
Now comics scribe Kevin Church demonstrates how a Marvel-ized Watchmen might look in Just Imagine Stan Lee's Watchmen, a parody of the classic DC Comics graphic novel on Church's personal site.
In addition to spoofing world-famous graphic novels successfully, Church writes the web comic The Rack about the staff of a comics store.
