G4, the videogame-centric television network, is the latest victim of the current economic maelstrom, Variety's Cut Scene blog reports.
Alongside an unspecified number of layoffs -- Cut Scene claims the total number of cuts at the network "are in the single digit percentage-wise" -- the channel's two daily programs, X-Play and Attack of the Show, will see schedule changes.
Previously daily, the network's cost-cutting measures will see the two shows reduced to three and four shows a week, respectively.
"Savings resulting from this move will go directly towards producing more original programming in 2009," said a network representative.
