As promised, Capcom revealed a trailer exclusively on Xbox Live yesterday announcing the upcoming Lost Planet 2. Today the firm issued a number of screenshots from the game demonstrating its gorgeous -- if often moist -- graphics.
Though the first Lost Planet took place almost entirely in an arctic wasteland, LP2 seems to be partially abandoning that setting in favor of a dank jungle. More signs of global warming, perhaps?
Even with the change in scenery, the game carries on its predecessors tradition of blending motion-blur with intensely detailed backdrops. Even the hideous monsters in the below screenshots are kind of pretty.
So far no release date information have been released for the game. It's unknown if the game will be coming to platforms other than the Xbox 360, though Capcom has yet to acknowledge any other versions.
