Publisher Atari has release a new batch of screens from the Wii version of the upcoming Ghostbusters game, demonstrating the game's decidedly cartoonish art style.
The first (above) and second images (below) are of the game's stylized interpretations of series stars Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Bill Murray, the third shows a character utilizing his proton pack to capture a ghost, and the fourth is rife with spirits obviously hailing from the Civil War era.
Rounding out the pack is another stylized character: Receptionist Janine Melnitz (made famous in the films by actress Annie Potts).
I like the decision to infuse the game with this more graphically simplistic style instead of forcing Nintendo's console to ape the graphics found in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, but I wonder if Wii owners, on seeing these images, won't deride this game as purely aimed at the kiddies.
Ghostbusters comes to the Wii on June 16 (June 19 for European gamers).
