Georgia's claims -- that it waged a precise attacks on separatists, while the Russians went on a indiscriminate rampage during their August war -- are growing more suspect by the day. First we learned that Georgia showered South Ossetia with cluster bombs that killed at least three civilians.
Now, independent military observers at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe are suggesting that Georgia’s military attacked the separatist capital of Tskhinvali "with
indiscriminate artillery and rocket fire, exposing civilians, Russian peacekeepers and unarmed monitors to harm," according to the New York Times.
BTW, our own David Axe was called a "Kremlin dupe" for daring to suggest in September that the narrative of the Russia-Georgia war more complicated than it at first appeared. Now, it's starting to look like his accusers were the ones who were duped.
