Wipeout HD
- has a release date and price: the downloadable PlayStation 3 title comes out September 25, for $20.
Wipeout was delayed for quite a while -- allegedly for failing epilepsy tests -- but it was only expected to ship before year's end, so the September release comes as a bit of a surprise.
The game include five game modes and full online play over eight tracks. You'll have the option of using the PlayStation 3 controller's motion controls, and the game supports Trophies, custom playlists, and yes, glorious HD visuals.
September 25 can't come soon enough.
