What-Space? Who-Book?
More than half of adults worldwide have no idea what a social network is, according to a study released this week by Synovate.
The number wasn’t so high in the U.S. alone, but still a startling 30% of Americans seem to be oblivious to the hugely popular (or hugely hyped) trend.
On the other hand the study, of 13,000 people age 16-65 across 17 countries, found that 26% of the world's population is a member of a social network. But that sample clearly leaves out a significant teen population who dominate much of the sites’ user-base.
The bright side? There are are still plenty of folks out there to poke, profile, connect and exploit for advertising gold.
