TOKYO -- During Microsoft's media event held today in Tokyo, From Software producer Masanori Takeuchi announced that its "cinematic action" title Ninja Blade will be coming out in Japan for the Xbox 360 in early 2009.
A trailer and game footage were shown at the event, featuring a ninja slicing his way through a very detailed Tokyo -- the city's Shinjuku district was highlighted -- with cut scenes flowing seamlessly into gameplay.
The game looks to bring a new level of real-world locations -- specifically Tokyo -- to a Ninja Gaiden-like action packed killfest.
Ninja Blade features character designs by Lost Planet's Keiji Nakaoka, with Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell, Kill Bill) providing animated cut scenes.
