In this week’s Wired Gadget Lab Podcast, Dylan Tweney, Brian Chen, and I talk about the newest updates to the Zune and iPod player lines. Now that they cost about the same and include similar features, it’s harder to tell them apart, but we try to separate them anyway, feature by feature.
In addition, we talk about Sony’s announcement of their new Full-Frame DSLR, the Alpha 900, and what it will mean to the old DLSR vs. 35mm battle. One thing we know for sure: Bigger image sensors will mean bigger images that won’t sacrifice image quality.
Finally, I will go over some of the most interesting technologies I covered while at the CEDIA 2008 A/V conference in Denver, including Sony’s thinnest TV yet and Panasonic’s new TV (with the black-happy 60,000:1 contrast ratio.)
