A North American port of the latest entry in SNK's classic side-scrolling shooter series Metal Slug is coming in November, but those who can't wait will be happy to learn that the Japanese version of Metal Slug 7 for the Nintendo DS already includes English support.
You can't access it directly from the game, and you'll need to install a patch -- which means you need to know how to install homebrew software on the device -- but it's all there, waiting to be unlocked.
Why would you really require English to play a run-and-gun shooter like Metal Slug? As part of the combat missions, you get to play out what amounts to a faux dating sim with drill instructor Cynthia.
Love and guns, Metal Slug style.
