LOS ANGELES -- Up in Nintendo's E3 booth, they had samples of their two new pieces of hardware on display.
WiiSpeak, left, is a microphone that will ship alongside* Animal Crossing: City Folk* later this year. It'll let players converse with each other in-game, a feature that every other online videogame system features but that Nintendo is just coming around to. It's not a headset mic -- it'll sit on top of your TV and pick up all voices from everyone in the room. It won't be included in the Animal Crossing box, but sold separately at $30.
Wii MotionPlus is the new addition to the Wii remote that gives it the ability to do 1:1 motion sensing and know the position of a player's hands in space. It'll be included with Wii Sports Resort in spring 2009, and additional accessories will be sold separately.
