A Grand Theft Auto game on a Nintendo console? It's finally happening, following the announcement during this morning's Nintendo press conference that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will arrive on the portable console this winter in both North America and Europe.
Rockstar Leeds is developing the new title, the same studio behind other GTA handheld outings Liberty City Stories (pictured) and Vice City Stories, both for the PSP.
The new spin-off title will offer up an entirely new storyline that still takes place in Liberty City, but this time focusing on the goings on of the city's Triad crime syndicate.
We do know that it will take place in "sprawling open environments," so expect free-roaming exploration as is typical of the series. As you'd expect, you'll navigate through the game using the touch screen, but little else is known about the gameplay.
