LOS ANGELES -- THQ's upcoming arachnofighter Deadly Creatures "should clock in at 6 to 8 hours", one of the developers explained to me.

Once players complete the storyline, that's it: There's no multiplayer to pad out the useful life of the title, either.

Sadly, those issues may completely overshadow how intensely cool the game is. Not only is the premise -- tarantula and scorpion take on a world of deadly vermin -- innovative and awesome, but the immersive
HUD-less gameplay and clever combat system, which combines Wiimote gestures and button presses make for an entertaining brawler.
