
Singer/pianist Tori Amos has ended her six-year relationship with Sony/BMG's Epic Records division, announcing the split with a note on her website.
In the note, Amos claims that while she does not fear structure in general, major label missteps have forced artists like her to become independent rather than relying on a system that has become undependable.
Toriamos.com is slated to relaunch in "the next couple weeks," hopefully with some examples of the expansive ideas she refers to above.
