WIRED
Packs up efficiently into a tight orange sausage. Walls constructed of more nylon than mesh means extra warmth and weather protection.
TIRED
Just two gear pockets? We've got cargo pants that fit more stuff than that. Door zippers prone to jamming.

The best thing about the UL3? Two thoughtfully placed pole hubs allow for a single quick assembly: We were able to pitch this tent far faster than any other. Plus, they give the structure a dual wishbone design that provides extended headspace. With fore and aft walls that rise at around 70-degree angles, plus 44 inches of loft, even our tallest (6-foot-3) hiking bud was able to happily sit up straight inside. Getting horizontal is a joy too: The 90-inch length let us stretch out and get a good night's sleep without feeling claustrophobic. Two wide semi-circle doors add to the already spacious feel, making it easy to get in and out, even while sharing the tent with two very boisterous canines. And, oh yeah, the whole kit and caboodle is easy to tote, weighing just 4 pounds 3 ounces.
