The U.S. government is looking for a company that can prepare three squares a day for detainees at Camp Taji in Iraq. But there's just one thing: the food has to come from abroad. "The contractor will be required to procure food from approved sources outside Iraq and deliver it via secure means for preparation at Camp Taji," a government notice says.
Actually, I don't know if this will be the world's most expensive prisoner food, but it's a good guess. I'm sure there are similar contracts providing food for detainees at Guantanamo Bay, but I suspect importing food into Iraq costs more. Here's a bit more on the contract:
