Seven filmmakers are flying to Los Angeles this weekend for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, hoping to take home the Golden Popcorn statuette for best movie spoof.
The Mike Myers-hosted shindig, which will be broadcast live Sunday at 5 p.m. PST, will name one viral visionary for the top prize. Clips, including I Am Little (video embedded) poke fun at I Am Legend, Cloverfield, Juno and Matthew McConaughey. The Coen Brothers’ Oscar-winning Western No Country for Old Men invited the most mockery by spawning three parodies: No Country for Old Predators, No Football for Old Men and No Country for Superbad Men.
The shorts can be viewed online at MTV.com and partner sites, including Photobucket, MySpace, Dailymotion, Break, Buzznet, Heavy and Funny or Die.
