Those damn Japanese get everything first! On Saturday Tokyo shoppers could finally watch 3-D TV content with Hyundai It Japan's E465 3-D TV, which debuted in stores for $4,980.
The boob tube (pictured, right) lets viewers watch 3-D content with the aide of special glasses. Lucky for Japan, satellite network Nippon BS Broadcasting
(BS 11) has already begun airing an hours worth of 3-D content a day. The 60 minutes of three-dimension entertainment includes sports, travel shows and wildlife documentaries.
The network plans to air live 3-D sports events in summer or fall. The U.S. has yet to decide when they'll start to broadcast 3-D television content. *grumble, grumble*
How rad would the final season of Battlestar Galactica in 3-D be?! Or next year's Super Bowl?
