
If you've fired up your PS3 in the past 24 hours, you may have noticed yet another firmware update, and crossed your fingers in the hopes that this one would include a feature that has practically attained mythical status, the long-desired in-game XMB. Such is not the case.
Update v2.17 is a relatively minor update that improves the operating stability of some online games. That's it. Kind of a letdown, I know. Like hearing the ice cream truck, then being forced to watch as it drives straight on by.
