Arrested Development's Will Arnett has been asked to get out of the car – the KITT car that is. The actor, who had already recorded all his lines as the voice of the Ford Mustang for NBC's two-hour sequel Knight Rider, was asked by GMC to back out. As the voice of GMC's ads, the car company didn't want Arnett associated with a Ford that was far cooler than any GMC to date. Below are a few cock teases of what the KITT pilot could have sounded like.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZa6g6ic3hoOn February 17th when the show airs you'll instead hear the voice of Val Kilmer (has the pudgy actor been cast off to doing voice-overs?). I'm so bummed about this. Will Arnett has such amazing delivery and he really could have brought the funny to this show. Plus, if Arnett couldn't do it, why didn't NBC sign original KITT voice, William Daniels?
