The ubiquitous and award-winning video journalist/voting reform activist Jacob Soboroff recently interviewed Democratic strategist Tad Devine, who has had a hand in shaping the rules that govern the Democrats' controversial delegate allocation system.

Devine does a good job of explaining the background and history of the superdelegate system, and the reasons for its creation.

"Whatever we do, I think it’s incumbent that we do it transparently," he says. That means making as much information available as possible though the Internet and the media. (Soboroff, who's the executive director of the voting reform group Why Tuesday? is sponsoring *The Huffington Post'*s OffTheBus project to work on that.)
