Nokia has come up with a concept phone, displayed at today's Greener Gadgets conference, which features a wearable sensor unit that can analyze your environment, health, and local weather conditions. The sensor unit then sends the data to your phone, so you can share that information with your social network leading to a "whose space is dirtier" flame war.

Since this is a concept lets make some changes.

  • Why can't the sensor unit be built into the phone? It seems like it would be more convenient to have everything in one device, I mean hasn't that been the message cell phone manufacturers have been hawking for years?
  • Add a hot-button that sends your local environment data straight to your mayor, city council people, and local environmental lobby.
  • Should there be an alarm to alert you to possible carbon monoxide poisoning?

What else do you think this gizmo of paranoia should include?
