Lindsay Lohan pays tribute to the ultimate suicide blonde in a series of revealing pictures re-creating an infamous Marilyn
Monroe nude photo shoot. The racy photos (NSFW),
published in this week's issue of New York magazine, were taken by Bert Stern, who originally photographed
Monroe just six weeks before the blonde bombshell's fatal drug overdose.
Stern and Lohan converged on the Hotel Bel-Air in California, where the original photos of Monroe were taken for
Vogue, and copied the look and feel of the 1962
shoot using wigs, scarves and Lohan's abundant curves. Stern, who [noted that both actresses battled booze](https://slim-weight.info/dynamic/stories/L/LOHAN_MONROE?SITE=WIRE&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEF

AULT&CTIME=2008-02-18-19-44-39), said Lohan sparkled without any on-set
alcohol during her shoot – unlike Monroe, who famously sipped champagne during "the last sitting" (NSFW).
Lohan, a former Disney
debutante whose recent run-ins with the law have earned her a reputation as a boozing-and-drugging bad girl, said Monroe and
recent OD victim Heath Ledger both fell victim
to Hollywood's deadly debauchery, but predicted that she wouldn't follow in their shoes. "I sure as hell wouldn't let it happen
to me," Lohan said.
The star of Mean Girls and The Parent Trap said she jumped at the opportunity to re-create the
timeless images of the '60s beauty queen. "I didn't have to put much thought into it," she told New York. "I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a
Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It's really an honor."
