Clinton Beats Obama, Wins New Hampshire

Senator Hillary Clinton from New York is projected to win the New Hampshire primary, MSNBC reports.

Clinton led with 39 percent of the vote, followed closely by Obama at 36 percent. Former senator John Edwards of
North Carolina trailed with 17 percent, MSNBC reports. The data's based on seventy percent of the precincts reporting.

Clinton's victory speech taped by C-Span is available on its Campaign Network site.

The campaign promptly sent out a thank-you e-mail on behalf of Clinton.

It was short and succint:

"You and I surprised a lot of people tonight!

In the days after Iowa, I turned to you and asked you to stand with me.
When I needed you most, you came through with flying colors.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you."
