The biggest buzz of CES so far doesn’t even come from the show floor: It’s Warner Bros. Entertainment’s decision to ditch the HD-DVD format and go exclusively with Blu-ray starting in May 2008. Many are seeing this as a decisive fatal blow to HD-DVD.
Vodafone’s entire 2008 lineup of phones and smartphones hit the web, with details on the Palm Wanda, Nokia Dora, and RIM BlackBerry Pearl 2.
Logitech’s diNovo Mini keyboard/Windows Media Center remote is surprisingly useful and cool.
Celestron showed two cool gadgets: a mini USB microscope and a full-size microscope with an LCD display.
WowWee showed off the successor to RoboSapien: Its three-wheeled Tribot.
