The last Wired party picture of Valleywag editor Owen Thomas shot by photographer Lane Hartwell ended up the center of a controversy over copyrights and fair use. Here’s hoping this one causes less strife but gets just as much attention.

One of Lane’s harshest critics in the past two weeks has been blogger Robert Scoble, pictured here. When Lane went up to snap his picture, the prolific self-publisher, who, days before, had written a nasty screed against her copyright defense, never even noticed the person behind the lens, and just smiled for the camera before him.
