
There are times I curse my inability to read Japanese, and this is one of them. The Kenko Field Catch, described by some as a spotting scope with a camera attached, looks intriguing and sounds like it might be sort of useful for birders, private eyes and the like.
Apparent specs include 24x zoom (to the 35mm equivalent of 550-some mm), a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, SD card slot, AA batteries and absolutely no image stabilization. Looks like it'll go on sale in Japan in a few weeks for the equivalent of $580.
