PartFoundry is showing off a prototype of its GPS add-on for the iPhone. The package consists of a GPS receiver that plugs into the phone's 30-pin connector and a chunk of software that converts satellite data into map points.
The company expects to start selling it for $90 in February, which gives you plenty of time to decide if it's worth doing a little jailbreak surgery on your precious to have access to third-party apps like this.
