It's time to dust off those Star Trek IV jokes again, because here's the latest update on transparent heavy-duty construction materials: load-bearing, fiber-optic concrete.
This one's named TranslucentConcrete (that unwieldy name is load-bearing, too) and allows one to see hints of the other side through what otherwise looks and acts just like the standard stuff.
