Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer, whose products adorn the wrists of race car drivers and yachstmen, is looking to extend its name into mobile phones. The company announced a deal with French contract manufacturer Modelabs to have TAG Heuer phones on the market late next year.
In a statement that should allay any fears about reliability or technical expertise, the company's CEO said phones were a natural brand extension after getting into sunglasses a few years ago.
