For years now, police cruisers have been outfitted with dashboard video cameras and now copper poppers will have a watchful eye. The Newburgh, New York police department will be the first US PD to begin using the PistolCam, a mini VGA digital video recorder that clips onto the underside of a gun's barrel and starts filming at a full 30 frames per second as soon as the gun is drawn. The minicam can tape 60 minutes worth of footage, which is password protected. Hackers, you are now officially a cop's best friend.
