
Olympus has finally spilled the beans on the E-3, the company's new flagship digital SLR for professional photographers and those who want to look like one. Specs include: Continuous shooting of five frames per second, top shutter speed of 1/8000, 10-megapixel sensor, 2.5-inch Live View swivel LCD screen, 100-percent viewfinder coverage and Olympus' thorough dust reduction system.
The E-3 goes on sale next month for $1,700, body only. Accompanying the camera will be a trio of new Zuiko lenses, ranging from 24-120mm to 140-600mm. All have Olympus' new SWD system for super-speedy autofocus and will be released in time to accompany the E-3, pricing TBA.
