Canon has issued a sort-of recall for its A650 IS point-and-shoot, saying light could leak in behind the swiveling LCD screen under certain conditions. Only cameras with a zero as the fifth digit in the serial number are affected, and even then only if there isn't a small dot on the inside of the battery cover.
Consumers with faulty cameras can contact Canon to arrange for repair or learn to use it with the LCD screen latched to the camera back.
