Problem is, most corner stores only chill their drinks so much and it's hard to convince the guy behind the bulletproof glass to hand over a cup of ice. Always trying to come with new ways to market their bubbly, the Coca-Cola company has developed a bottle that when opened triggers a mechanism inside that creates ice made from the actual drink, so as it melts it doesn't dilute the flavor. No word on exactly how this is going to be done, but one requirement for the magic, is for bottles to be stored in specific vending machines that keep temps constant.

Sprite Super Chilled will be the first drink bottled in the new packaging. It will be available in the UK in early 2008.

I wonder why they decided to use Sprite as the guinea pig. Everyone knows Coke's are best served ice cold.
