Sci-Fi shows have had the monopoly on dorky fan conventions for some time now, but Michael Scott and company are about to change all that. According to the Washington Post, tickets went on sale yesterday for the first The Office convention, which will introduce some of the show's writers and actors to their fans and fellow Scrantonians. From what I gather from comments on the convention site, so many people logged in to buy tickets yesterday that the store was fried. It's back up though.
The event to beat all events will take place October 26th through 28th and has so far lined up the following Dunder Mifflin employees. Stanley, Kevin, Creed, Meredith, Kelly, Oscar, and Phyllis. I'm hoping Jam, Dwight, and Michael will be announced last minute to get more publicity. Hopefully they aren't too big of hot shots to attend.
