Retro Cassette Tape Case for iPod Nano

For $45, 45 iPod Cases will send you a modified cassette shell for your first or second generation iPod Nano (a Fat Nano version is currently at the design stage).... For the perfect DIY project, though, pick up one of these $6 cassette adapters, combine with the old-school D90 and iPod of your choice, and slide it into a 1980s Hitachi Boombox.

Ipod Cassette Case

The cassette tape is dead. Long live the cassette tape. For $45, 45 iPod Cases will send you a modified cassette shell for your first or second generation iPod Nano (a Fat Nano version is currently at the design stage). The acrylic panel has access to the hold switch, clickwheel, dock and headphone jack, and the Nano is kept safe inside by neoprene padding. Otherwise, it's a standard cassette, the kind you probably still have in a box in the attic.

The cases (there's a version for the full sized iPod made from old 7" vinyl records) are neat, but pretty easy to fashion yourself. For the perfect DIY project, though, pick up one of these $6 cassette adapters, combine with the old-school D90 and iPod of your choice, and slide it into a 1980s Hitachi Boombox. Did somebody say "pass the D-Cells"?
