Wii Sun

The Sun, the British newspaper equivalent of Joe McCarthy, redeems itself with a beautiful story about oldsters enjoying Nintendo's Wii. The photo-set is from the Sunrise Home, an old folks home in Birmingham, England, and features pensioners in their 80s and 90s enjoying what is currently the world's best selling console.

According to the Sun, the home's chef brought the Wii to work but it was soon co-opted by the residents. Apparently "things have got quite competitive.".

Heart warming indeed. Perhaps instead of making me hand-knitted socks for Christmas this year, gran will save the giant ball of wool for some meatspace Katamari Damacy.
